Homemade Play Dough
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
2 teaspoons cream of
tartar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
food coloring
Mix the dry ingredients.
Then add the remaining
ingredients and stir. In
a heavy skillet, cook the
mixture for two or three
minutes stirring
frequently. Knead the
dough until it becomes
soft and smooth. Stir up
several colors and store
them in icing tubs.
No-Cook
Modeling Dough
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
water
food coloring or tempera
paint
2 tablespoons vegetable
oil (optional)
No pots and pans are
required for this
concoction. Mix the
ingredients. Add the oil
unless you want the dough
artwork to harden.
