A
FAMILY'S BLESSING

It is not
often that that people
send me writings so
captivating and full of
hope, as the one below.
If you have an unsaved
loved one...that you have
"just lost hope
in"....DON'T GIVE
UP!!! Cheryl knows and
has experienced the power
of prayer...and the
patience when trusting
God.
I loved my
Mother very much, But as
many times as I tried to
talk to her about Jesus
she just didnt seem to
care enough to listen to
anything about him. She
always said, "I know
God and thats good
enough!" So after
many years I stopped
trying to talk to her
about him and said,
"Lord I give this to
you." I knew in my
heart some how she would
be saved.
She became
very ill and still she
would not talk about the
Lord, but I begin to
realize it was not me who
would bring her to the
Lord! I started to see
little things that gave
me hope. I received a
phone call That Mom was
back in the hospital
again. ( she was in Fla.
and I was in Ga.) and was
told to come, I had made
several trips down to see
her each time she went
into the hospital, But
this time I felt it was
diffrent, so I told my
husband he needed to go
with me this time . So we
left very early next
morning.
When I
entered into her room I
knew the time had come
Mom was going to
die! I knew she was
not going to be with us
long. I prayed to God for
some wisdom and direction
, I tried to talk to her
but she was not really
able to
understand............Only
a miracle could save her
now! She went down so
fast that by the next
morning she was on life
support. I walked the
halls of that I.C.U unit
Praying, "God please
help her."
Mom did
not attend any church and
we did not know the area
very well so we didn't
know any Pastors there,
so as I was praying a
lady from Hospice was
standing there and I
asked her if they had a
chaplain I could talk to
and she said. "yes I
will call him." He
told her he would be
there in five minutest -
and he was! The very
first thing he asked me
was is your Mother saved?
Praise God! I knew I had
the right Person! And so
I told him no, and told
him a little about how I
have tried to talk to
her, He said lets pray
and as we prayed he asked
God to open her ears to
hear and Eyes to see, I
had told him she was in a
coma and no one could get
a response from her.
We went to
her bed side and I
touched her hand and said
mom there is some one
here to see you, and she
opened her eyes the
chaplin asked her if she
wanted to receive Christ
and if she did and
understood what he was
saying squeeze his hand,
and she did, with tears
in her eyes! He Led her
to Jesus!!! As soon as we
were done praying with
her she fell back into a
coma.
The next
two days there was no
life at all, only the
machines keeping her
alive. The doctors told
us it was time to take
her off the machine there
was no use. They
told us to stay with her
as long as we wanted to
because she would'nt last
long once they shut off
the machine.
Well, God
showed up that night Mom
lived threw the night. My
sister and I sat by her
side all night as Mom
opened her eyes and
talked about all the
angels how beautiful it
was there and she has
seen Jesus! Then as
morning came the nurses
told us she is just about
gone now.
We all
left the room and left
Dad alone with her. I
waited for a while and
then went back in the
room and she was laying
there with a big smile I
thought she was gone and
as I walked to her and
touched her hand, She sat
right up in the bed and
said, "where have
you been? I have so much
to tell you!" I
almost had a heart attack
! She said, "I want
to see every one!"
So the nurses opened the
doors of the I.C.U unit
and let every one in.
She sat up
in that bed like there
was nothing wrong with
her and greeted people as
they came in telling them
all about Jesus! She
asked for a chocolate
shake (her favorite) and
then another one ,and a
cup of tea. All her vital
signs went to normal ,
all was normal! My mother
was gone and now shes
very much alive!! My
sister and I went out
into the hall just to
pull our selves together
we wre so over whelmed by
it all. When a strange
Man just appeared in
front of us and asked
what is going on in that
room? I just cried trying
to tell him and he looked
into my eyes and said,
"ENJOY THE MOMENT !
W hen God is ready He is
going to take your
mother."
I turned
to my sister and when I
turned back to him he was
gone!! He was
beautiful ! And as he
spoke to me he touched my
arm ever so gentle. Mom
was a totaly different
person even her voice was
different... she was
almost angelic!
This went on four, about
four hours then they came
to transport her to the
hospice home. As she was
leaving I told her
I will be there in a
little while I am going
to go and clean up and
eat, then I will be
there! Told her I loved
her and left. About one
hour later we arrived at
the home and she was back
in a coma! And never woke
up again. But God was not
through yet!! They told
us she will not lastt
through the night. Well,
that was Monday and then
Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday.
Now, in
three days we got to
witness to alot of people
and tell them what God
was doing! That evening
we all left the room so
they could bath Mom and
when we came back in the
room we all just sat and
stared at her,we could
not take our eyes off her
and there was such a
wonderful feeling in that
room no one could move as
we watched Mom grow
younger and more
beautiful! Every wrinkle
disappeared from her
face, it was as if God
wanted us to see her
perfect body before he
took her home. Sunday
morning came and the
nurse told us she had no
pulse and no heart beat
as we all prayed around
her bed she continued to
breath for two more hours
and then my sister said,
"I hear music. I
have never heard anything
so beautiful!" (no
one else heard it) and as
she said it, I layed my
head down next to moms
and said, "Mom, its
time to go. Joanne hears
the music and the gates
of Heaven are open, Go
home! God Is
calling." I said,
"Joanne, Mom took
her last breath." I
looked at Joanne and she
said, "I know the
music just
stopped!!"
Mom went
to be with the Lord on
Febuary 17th 2002.
